Description: The team leader in this space collaborates with the firm owner to provide client management services to the firm’s media and public affairs practices as an account representative. This account representative will ensure timely delivery of plans, creative and public affairs products to a number of high-profile clients and participate in seeking new business. The qualified individual will possess strong multitasking and time management skills. Interest and expertise in progressive politics is required, in addition to the functional areas of paid media (TV, radio, digital/social media, mail and phones), plus the fields of research and organizing outreach and public affairs campaigns for public affairs, corporate and non-profit clients.

Requirements

Specific Duties:

  • Manage accounts and represent the firm for select media and public affairs clients.

  • Drives organization of client accounts including research, organization, writing, presentations,

    meetings, training, and other assignments.

  • Direct coordination of account work (including firm collaborators) according to work plan and

    schedules to gain approvals and hit deadlines.

  • Conduct research and produce materials for new client pitches.

  • Engage in fast-paced and numbers-driven outreach for public affairs clients.

  • Create and manage promotional materials, social media, branding, and other related items to

    promote the business for RFPs and new business.

  • Participate in firm business planning and growth strategies.

  • Assist with management of firm fellows-interns to complete client work.

  • Assist with administrative duties related to client accounts.

  • Support principal and collaborators in creating paid media products.

  • Participate in some weekend and after-hours activities at busiest times of the election cycle.

  • Interest in organizing groups to achieve outcomes.

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills including pitching and marketing.

  • Equipped to produce and manage design, Powerpoint and Excel spreadsheets.

  • Professionalism in interfacing with clients.

  • Stewardship of client resources, budgeting and coordination of tracking accounting to firm billing.

  • Strong working knowledge of social media, digital and video production/editing

  • Acuity in problem solving.

  • Ability to exercise discretion, professional ethics and sensitivity when dealing with confidential

    issues.

    Proven experience in these areas.
